4 Poofs and a Piano have many years experience in the field of corporate entertainment and can tailor their performance to the client’s specific requirements. Some of the ideas below have consistently proved successful at many corporate and company events
Jonathan Ross style sing-ons: To award winners at an awards ceremony: Recreation of the Jonathan Ross show for the event with introductions for award winners and guest speakers. This is often in combination with a short cabaret at the end of the event or opening and closing numbers.
Cabaret style performances: usually a collection of popular and/or comedy songs, perfect as part of corporate dinner event. Here the focus is more on the music and a more robust comedy interaction with the audience.
Dance sets for a party: Getting the audience dancing to our collection of party favourites taken from our album. Usually for a later performance, either with or in place of a DJ.
Interactive performances : We get the audience involved as part of the evening’s proceedings: This can be as diverse as holding mock auditions for a new member of the group (we’ve found that people love seeing the boss on stage as a ‘Poof for the night’), to writing a bespoke song for the company with suggestions and contributions taken from the audience members, to full on dance and vocal workshops that help to break down inhibitions, build self-confidence, strengthen team work and group solidarity.
Introductions for your hosts and/or guests: Recreate the Friday Night With Jonathan Ross experience with the genre defining house band.
Cover versions of popular songs and standards: Pop classics from all eras and all genres, and a must for your favourite camp classics.
Original comedy songs from the groups 4 sell-out Edinburgh Fringe Festival shows: Such as Big Dave’s signature song “I Ate All The Pies”; The Retirement Home Raver; Do The Double Dip; Builder’s Bum or “Gay Boys Are A Girl’s Best Friend.
Bespoke songs for your presenters/hosts or a particular event: “Those MPs And Their Expenses” (This Week); Song for Loose Women; Friday Round Up Of The Week (Daybreak).
A high octane and highly entertaining show, comprising original comedy songs, parodies and pop standards with a healthy dose of physical comedy and dance thrown in. The Poofs build a relationship with their audience based on interactive banter, stand up comedy, self-deprecating humour and sauciness that manages to land just the right side of naughtiness without alienating a broad, mainstream demographic. The show can be tailored in length from a one hour ‘Edinburgh’ style show suitable for comedy festivals, to a full two part, two hour show more suitable for touring in its own right.
